How can data help us make sense of the world? Students analyze global datasets to identify patterns, make predictions, and evaluate claims. As a culminating experience, students create a workshop that helps others make informed, data-based decisions. As a capstone project, this module brings together students' statistical reasoning and modeling skills in a meaningful, real-world context.

Students create a statistical analysis using global data to show an association between two variables. Then, they'll create a workshop to teach others how to make data-based decisions and avoid confirmation bias.
5 Minute Math - Debug it: Quadratic Equations
While much of an XQ math module centers on project-based learning, some concepts are covered through direct practice. Every module includes a selection of "5 Minute Math" activities for building fluency.
Collect & Reflect
This daily activity helps students organize their work, reflect on their progress, and connect their daily efforts to their learning goals. By taking a couple of minutes each day to gather and review their work, students build strong habits, track growth, and stay on course toward meeting learning objectives.
